Samuel Aaron Reichman Feder was born in 1853 in Taurrogen Lithuania.
His father was Abraham Reichman and he had 2 children in the 1848 census.

Mariam Kanter Feder was Samuel's second wife. Samuel had 2 boys with his first wife before she died. Then, he married Mariam, the sister of his first wife. Abraham David Kantor had 6 girls including Mariam and Rachel. Rachel Kanter and her family took the last name Jacobson and immigrated to Sydney, Nova Scotia at the same time the Feder's immigrated.
