Samuel Aaron Reichman Feder was born in 1853 in Taurrogen Lithuania.
His father was Abraham Reichman and he had 2 children in the 1848 census.
Mariam Kanter Feder was Samuel's second wife. Samuel had 2 boys with his first wife before she died. Then, he married Mariam, the sister of his first wife. Abraham David Kantor had 6 girls including Mariam and Rachel. Rachel Kanter and her family took the last name Jacobson and immigrated to Sydney, Nova Scotia at the same time the Feder's immigrated. The two sisters remained close all their lives.
